Florida man arrested after allegedly swindling 10, stealing more than $100,000
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Police said they have arrested a Florida man for multiple felony charges after he swindled 10 people and stole more than $100,000 for his personal use.
The Palm Bay Police Department said they arrested Christopher Michalak on Thursday for scheme to defraud, grand theft from a person over 65, grand theft and communications fraud.
Records show Michalak, 45, currently sits in the Brevard County Jail.

The Palm Bay Police Department said its General Crimes Unit has worked for months to investigate the alleged incidents and to ensure justice for the people impacted.
Reports state Michalak victimized 10 people in the city by falsely promising to complete cabinetry work. Police said he pre-collected payments for the services.
Instead of fulfilling his obligations, officers stated Michalak diverted the funds, which totaled $112,000, for his personal use.

Police said they arrested Michalak, the manager of Oceanside Cabinets, around 5:15 p.m. Dec. 16 in Palm Bay.
Records show Michalak is facing multiple charges, and he is being held on a $50,000 bond.
