Police investigate shooting between Florida husband and wife
Detectives say a woman was hurt when her husband shot her and then himself in Volusia County.
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Police said a Florida man has died after shooting his wife and then himself in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Reports show the woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment. However, the man was found dead in the couple's home.
What We Know: The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said the incident took place around 12:17 a.m. Saturday in the Edgewater area on Carol Ann Drive.
Based on initial information, police said the woman was injured when her husband shot her, then himself.
New Details Released: Deputies confirmed Saturday afternoon that the woman currently is in stable condition.
Officers said the investigation indicated the man shot the woman following an argument, then turned the gun on himself.
There has been no reported history of domestic incidents involving the couple, officials stated.
