PARRISH, Fla. - A lucky lottery player in Florida rang in 2025 with a million-dollar surprise!

The final Mega Millions drawing of 2024 took place on New Year's Eve. While no one won the $20 million jackpot, a ticket purchased in Florida matched five of the six winning numbers, earning the second-tier prize of $1 million, according to the Florida Lottery.

The winning numbers from the December 31 drawing were: 13, 22, 27, 29, 35, and the Mega Ball 1.

That lucky ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 11245 N US Highway 301 in Parrish.

The next Mega Millions drawing, offering a $42 million jackpot, will be held on Friday.
