Deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect they said robbed a man outside a Marion County gas station and then stabbed him before taking off, authorities said.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said the armed robbery happened on Monday around 10 a.m. at the Kwik King Gas Station, located at 6701 SW Highway 200 in Ocala.

Officials said the unidentified man approached the victim as he retrieved ice from an outside freezer and robbed him of $600. The suspect then stabbed the victim in the hand before leaving the area, deputies said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
