PALM COAST, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said a strange package found along the ocean in Palm Coast contained cocaine.
Dale Harmon said he was walking the beach picking up trash and debris from Hurricane Irma when he discovered the brick-like package.
At first Harmon threw it in a trash bag with everything else, but as he got home to throw it all out he realized this situation may require a call to the Sheriff’s Office.
"It was reminiscent in appearance to a brick of cocaine,” said Harmon.
When deputies got to his home Harmon said they opened the package to find a water-logged, white powder that quickly tested positive as cocaine.
Harmon said he was happy to turn the brick over and get it to the proper authorities.
