Weekend forecast calls for scattered storms, high humidity across Central Florida

Looking ahead to the weekend, an active weather pattern will continue. The eastern sea breeze will dominate, pushing storms from east to west.

A stationary front draped across Central Florida will keep rain chances at 60% throughout the weekend, with higher chances inland. Storms will develop in the afternoon and taper off in the late evening.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s, but with high humidity, it will feel closer to triple digits.

The front is expected to slowly move out early next week, leading to more scattered rain chances from Tuesday through Friday.

TROPICS: The tropics are quiet and expected to remain so for the next seven days. However, we are monitoring multiple tropical waves in the Atlantic. Saharan Dust is helping to keep things calm for now. Still, models and the National Hurricane Center suggest that tropical activity could ramp up again during the last few days of August and into the first week of September.
