ORLANDO, Fla. - Friday will bring another warm day. Highs in Central Florida will be in the mid-90s, while along the coast, they will be closer to the low 90s.
Once we factor in the high humidity levels, our heat indices will range from around 104°-107°.
Be sure to stay cool and stay hydrated!
Scattered afternoon showers and storms will be possible, but not everyone will see the rain. Those who do can expect heavy downpours along with frequent lightning.
INTO THE WEEKEND: We're in the heart of summer and the rainy season here in Florida, so the heat, humidity, and rain chances will continue this weekend.
There is a possibility for daily rounds of scattered and heavy downpours. Temperatures will stay a few degrees above normal, topping out around the mid 90s through the weekend as well. When we factor in the humidity, our heat indices will be closer to 106°.
A large wave of Saharan Dust will arrive over the region this weekend but will begin to clear out by Tuesday.
As a result of the Saharan Dust, the tropics remain quiet.
Storm chances will also increase on Tuesday, and temperatures will begin to warm back into the mid-90s.
