Volusia deputies crack down on traffic violations in two-day operation, one driver reached 130 mph
ORLANDO, Fla. - A two-day traffic enforcement operation on Interstates 4 and 95 led to 180 traffic stops, resulting in 172 traffic citations, 24 warnings, 11 criminal citations, and 11 misdemeanor arrests, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday.
Deputies issued citations for various violations, including two drivers clocked at excessive speeds of 105 mph and 130 mph.
Several citations were also given for texting while driving.
The operation aimed to improve road safety by targeting speeding, distracted driving, and other violations, officials said.
