Windermere police ID some women in photos

Windermere Police Chief David Ogden says his department has identified several women pictured in images released to the public on Tuesday.   Chief Ogden expressed concern for the safety of several women seen in images taken from video obtained by the police department.

"The women appear to be sleeping or unconscious," Chief Ogden said Tuesday, "so because of that, we’re concerned about that and we want to make sure that they’re okay." Chief Ogden said the images and the video from which they were taken are part of an "ongoing investigation."

The images of the women were posted on Chief Ogden's Facebook page and can be seen here.  Those who have been properly identified have been removed from the page.  "The Windermere Police Department will not be identifying these women and we are moving forward with an open investigation. Those women are safe at this time," Chief Ogden added. "We are still looking to identify the remaining women."

Anyone with information regarding the identity of any of these women should call 407-876-3757, or email Detective John Allen of the Windermere Police Department at: jallen@town.windermere.fl.us.
