Presser: Police shoot woman armed with knives

Orlando police shot and killed a woman at an apartment complex Friday after she ran towards officers holding two knives, according to a police spokesperson. Police said they received a 911 call from the woman's boyfriend who stated his girlfriend was holding a knife and making threats to harm herself. Police began negotiation. During the negotiation, the woman came out of the apartment with two knives and ran toward two officers. Those officers shot her. The woman died.

Ash, a 7-month-old Eastern grey kangaroo, stopped by the FOX 35 studio for Wild Wednesday. Ash is the youngest captive born Eastern grey kangaroo right now. He's an Animal Ambassador at Cool Zoo, which is opening a new facility on International Drive this September.

Derek Diaz's brother: He was 'a genuine person'

The 15-year-old brother of Derek Diaz remembered his brother as "a genuine person," and someone who would give you whatever he had if he had it. Orlando police shot and killed Diaz during the early morning hours of July 3, near Jefferson Street and North Orange Avenue. Police said Diaz was suspected of illegal drug activity and shot him when he allegedly made a movement, such as to reach for a gun. Chief Smith said a gun was not found. Diaz's family is now demanding police released the bodycam video. Orlando police asked the FDLE to takeover the investigation and have deferred all questions to FDLE.

New video shows shooting at Unity Banquet Hall

Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in figuring out who started shooting outside the Unity Banquet Hall. Two people were killed, including an Orlando pastor, and two others were hurt. Deputies also released new video of the shooting, showing the chaos inside as people began to run after the gunfire started.
