Protests in Kissimmee remained peaceful on Monday

Demonstrations continued across Central Florida today and into the evening. Crowds in Orlando moved from Lake Eola Park to City Hall to Orlando Police Headquarters as they did the night before. In Kissimmee, police officers joined crowds as they marched through the streets showing solidarity.

Kissimmee Police Sgt. Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter were responding to a routine check on three suspicious people near an intersection when police say Everett Miller pulled out a gun and shot both officers. For two years after Matthew's death, Sadia Baxter's home was filled with photos and memories of him.

Deputies say riot followed arson at hotel
