A bail bondsman has just bonded out of jail after a judge dissolved his pre-trial detention in Orange County. Russell Moncrief, 75, is accused of trading bond for sexual favors. He had been behind bars since his arrest in 2024. Even though he can go home, Moncrief is still facing charges for human trafficking and racketeering. He also has to wear a GPS monitor and is on house arrest.

Florida edged out Houston in a 65-63 nail-biter to win the NCAA national championship Monday night. The victory marked the Gators’ third national title—and their first since 2007—capping a remarkable postseason run.

McNair Magnet Middle School in Brevard County is facing an uncertain future due to its low enrollment numbers. The community is prepared to discuss solutions for the school during public comment at a School Board meeting tonight.

A Michigan woman was arrested in Florida for allegedly scamming a local resident out of $52,000, according to Sheriff Mike Chitwood. Demetria Latimer, 59, was booked into the Volusia County jail on charges organized scheme to defraud and grand theft. Investigators believe Latimer may have played a key role in laundering money from other victims nationwide.
