Some Cedar Key residents riding out Idalia

Many in Cedar Key, Florida have heeded warnings to evacuate low-lying areas but some longtime residents are opting to stay. Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center in Miami said there is the potential for a storm surge with heights up to 15 feet as Hurricane Idalia is expected to make landfall as a Category 3 storm.
