Mayor responds to Gov., AG threats vs. 'sanctuary city'

Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson told FOX 35's Garrett Wymer he is disappointed by the city council's failure to ratify a 287(g) agreement that would allow the local police department to be trained by ICE to carry out illegal immigration enforcement actions. Ratification of the agreement failed Monday when the vote deadlocked. The attorney general and governor have threatened action, calling Fort Myers a "sanctuary city." City leaders have called an emergency meeting for Friday.
