Eli Lilly launches new weight loss drug pill

Eli Lilly is launching a new weight loss option -- a pill vs. an injectable. The new weight loss pill, orforglipron, is a once-daily oral GLP-1 receptor agonist that is designed to lower blood sugar and help with weight loss. Experts are watching to see how it competes with Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic and Wegovy, other weight-loss options.
