Police: Man arrested after grand theft, burglaries at Sanford mosque

The Sanford Police department arrested a man Sunday night for multiples charges, including multiple burglaries at a local mosque.

    • Omran Ibrahim, 24, was arrested Sunday night by the Sanford Police Department for myriad charges.
    • Officers say Ibrahim is being charged with multiple burglaries at a Sanford mosque, as well as theft and grand theft.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - The Sanford Police Department has arrested a man for myriad charges, including multiple burglaries at a local mosque.

Officers say they responded to a call regarding a burglary at 10:40 p.m. Sunday night at the Islamic Society of Central Florida - Masjid Al-Salaam.

Police say they searched the property and found Omran Ibrahim, 24, still inside the mosque. 

Ibrahim was arrested for multiple charges in addition to Sunday's burglary, including theft, grand theft and other burglaries.
