Orlando weather: Cloudy skies this afternoon, freezing temperatures this evening: How cold will it get?

What to expect: A cold front is swinging through the Sunshine State, and that has brought hit or miss showers to the area.

We'll keep that potential for a few showers early today, as the front slides to the southeast. A stray sprinkle or two is still possible this afternoon, as some upper-level "energy" works through.

Highs look to only be in the upper 50s and lower 60s and don't budge much from morning readings.

Clouds then start to diminish tonight, as drier and cooler air filters in. Lows dip back into the 30s and 40s with some of our NW neighborhoods dipping toward freezing.

This is where frost advisories and freeze warnings have been issued. Marion and Flagler counties currently are under a frost advisory.

NEXT STORM SYSTEM, COOL-DOWN COMING

What's next: More sunshine is on tap for the second half of the weekend, along with seasonably cool temps.

High pressure briefly took over the region behind Saturday's system, making for more pleasant conditions.

You'll have to bundle up though if you're leaving for the Disney marathon, but at least it'll be brighter and drier.

We'll see a few clouds from time to time, with highs topping out in the lower to middle 60s.

Temps moderate just a bit more on Monday ahead of our next storm system.

Afternoon readings rise back closer to 70° with the chance for a few showers returning.

Chances increase from Monday evening into the overnight, with a shower or two possibly lingering into Tuesday.

That's when the cold front finally gets through and temps start to tumble.

Chillier air takes back over as high pressure builds with highs only near 60° on Wednesday and Thursday.

Overnight lows look to fall back into the 30s, so you'll need that winter jacket once again.
